It's been a while.

Hello again everyone.

It's been a fair while since I managed to put anything down here. For that I apologise. We've had a lot going on, and illness and the usual adulting that has to take place.

Where to start.. The Lodge has started a small resurrection of Fantasy Battles for Warhammer. Using the 8th edition ruleset we played a few games and saw some beautiful armies hit the table - Dwarves (grr organ guns!), all three Elf factions and even some Warriors of Chaos. Personally I think the change did everyone good. With the upcoming events of Brothers Revenge 2 and some more ITC, I think of a lot of people were feeling a little jaded of power armoured super humans, opting for some tactical gaming instead.

Speaking of tactical, more than a few games of Guild Ball have been played recently thanks to a few demo games held on Club days. If you haven't had a chance to see a game in action, I suggest you get involved on YouTube or your FLGS. On the surface the game appears to be a simplified game of Blood Bowl but for soccer. Scratch the surface and a whole magnitude of clever tactical choices can be made on the field allowing for some brilliant set pieces and plays. Entry level for the models and kit can seem expensive at first, but once you have your set up, you will not need to outlay any more unless you want to collect all of the teams.

There are some changes coming to club days thanks to the feedback of you guys and our visitors , not to mention WAGS of the Founding Fathers, which will be listed by Club President Isaac soon enough.

That's enough of me for now, as always I've attached some pics for perusal at the bottom.

PS, club measuring rulers have been order and are currently limited edition, so get your requests in super quick! As always anyone after a superb Frontline Gaming mat needs to give either of the Isaacs a poke on the Book of Faces.
